IDOT Experience

Anderson Environmental Co. is pre-qualified with the Illinois Department of Transportation for asbestos surveys and construction inspection. Since 2010, Anderson has served a niche of general contractors on IDOT projects through preparation of special waste plans/reports, safety briefings, and management of non-special, special, and hazardous wastes. Our HazWoper trained employees provide on-site monitoring during construction activities in impacted soils and document soil disposition from the site. We also provide soil sampling for clean construction and demolition debris (CCDD) certification and disposal.

Anderson is a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certified firm under the Illinois Unified Certification Program (IL UCP). Businesses who obtain DBE certification in the IL UCP are recognized by five US DOT-funded agencies: the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), City of Chicago, CTA, Metra, Pace and the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA).

Anderson serves general contractors on multiple public roadway projects with IDOT, providing special waste plans, reports and analysis, CCDD sampling and daily construction site supervision. Recent projects include:

William Charles Construction Company – S. Main Street ($19M ) – Roadway reconstruction and underground work (utility relocation, sanitary and water main installation).

Alliance Contractors Inc. – Streamwood ($2.3M) and Lincolnwood ($750K) Roadway widening and curb / gutter removal & replacement.

McCarthy Improvements - John Deere Road, Rock Island ($16.2M) bridge installation, structures replacement and roadway widening and River Drive, Moline ($6.9M) Roadway reconstruction and underground work (sanitary and water main installation).
